1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device when you visit it. Similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage ("localStorage"), can store information in the same way. In this policy, the word "cookies" covers both.
Cookies can be strictly necessary, when they are needed to deliver a service you have asked for, or non-essential, such as analytics, profiling or advertising cookies.
2. Legal framework
Under chapter 9, section 28 of the Swedish Electronic Communications Act (Lag (2022:482) om elektronisk kommunikation), information may be stored on or read from your device only if you are told what it is for and you consent to it. The exception is storage that is strictly necessary to deliver a service you have explicitly requested. Consent must meet the standard of the GDPR: freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous. The Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (Post- och telestyrelsen, PTS) supervises these rules.
3. Cookies we use
The website betlabelsweden.com sets no cookies of its own and stores no information on your device through the browser's local storage. We do not use analytics, profiling, advertising or social media cookies.
The Site's hosting provider may set strictly necessary security cookies to protect the Site from abusive or automated traffic. These cookies are not used to identify you or for advertising.
If we start to use non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this policy and switch them on only after you have given prior consent through a banner that lets you accept or reject them.
4. Third-party cookies
When you follow a link to the operator's site or another external site, that site may set its own cookies on your device. Those cookies are the responsibility of the site's owner and are covered by that site's cookie policy, which we recommend you read.
5. How to manage and delete cookies
You can set your browser to block or delete cookies, including those set by third-party sites that links on the Site lead to:
- Google Chrome: Settings, Privacy and security, Third-party cookies or Delete browsing data.
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings, Privacy & Security, Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari: Settings, Privacy, Manage Website Data.
- Microsoft Edge: Settings, Cookies and site permissions, Manage and delete cookies and site data.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies, such as the hosting provider's security cookies, can stop the sites that use them from working normally.
